Tonight, the Occupy Wall Street Spokescouncil – a directly democratic structure wherein OWS Working Groups interface with each other – will meet at theĀ Brooklyn Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.
Unlike the General Assembly, the Spokescouncil has no rule requiring proposals to be posted on NYCGA.net in advance of the meeting – and tonight, there’s nothing posted in anticipation of the meeting. However, recent Spokescouncils have been discussion-centric, and several discussions have vied for meeting time in recent weeks. Proposals may be brought to discuss budgeting, safety at meetings, avoiding scheduling conflicts between OWS events – or something completely new.
It’s worth noting that Monday’s Spokescouncil was ended shortly after it began in order to curtail disruption from folks who oppose the Spokescouncil’s process, which is less individual-centric than the General Assembly. We hope folks will respect the process tonight, but there’s no guarantee.
The fun gets going around 7pm, so watch this page for the Livestream and for the usual @LibertySqGA tweets below.
Update: As happened last week, #NYCSC won’t meet quorum tonight due to the strong, strong draw of the MayDay planning meetings that happen every Wednesday. So, there’s nothing to cover live tonight!
We’ll be on the scene tomorrow as #OWS launches the #FightBAC campaign — more about that later tonight. And see you in the AM!
